Dr Maged Gharib
Dr Maged Gharib has been a Consultant Haematologist since 2005.
He is experienced in treating leukaemias, lymphomas and myelomas since 1998.
Dr Gharib is also the clinical lead in thrombosis and anti-coagulation in STHK NHS Trust. He is interested in studying and managing patients’ risk of thrombosis. He is the principal investigator for the first national trial looking at treating cancer induced thrombosis with the new oral anti-coagulant, Rivaroxaban.
Dr. Gharib’s background in internal medicine from 1991 to 1998 provides an excellent foundation for him when analysing patients symptoms and wider diagnosis and management.
