Dr Tony Elliott
Dr Elliott graduated from Edinburgh University in 1993. He trained as a Clinical Oncologist in Edinburgh, with accreditation from the Royal College of Radiologists in 2001. Subsequently, he was awarded a MRC Clinical Research Fellowship to investigate mechanisms of cancer resistance to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This culminated in the award of a PhD in 2008. He was appointed as a Consultant Clinical Urological Oncologist at The Christie in 2006. He looks after patients with prostate / bladder / kidney / ureteric / penile cancers and has expertise treating with radiotherapy (external beam and brachytherapy; high dose and low dose rate), chemotherapy, hormone therapy and immune therapy. Dr Elliott is the Lead Clinician for Prostate Cancer Clinical Research Trials in The Christie Uro-oncology Team.
