    I am an established consultant colorectal and general surgeon since 2008. I did my training in general and colorectal surgery in East of England (Cambridge) Deanery hospitals. Apart from my qualification with certificate of completion of training in general surgery I was also qualified in colorectal surgery with the European Board of Surgical Qualification in 2008. Although I deal with all colorectal conditions, my main interest is in colorectal cancer and pelvic floor disorders. Most colorectal surgical procedures are done laparoscopically (by keyhole surgery). Colonoscopy and early detection of colorectal cancer are part of my practice. On top of colorectal surgery I still practise general surgery in dealing with emergency surgery and laparoscopic hernia and gallbladder surgery. My practice is quality assured through annual appraisals and 5 yearly revalidations, which are governed by GMC.
