Professor Gordon Jayson

Professor Jayson qualified in Medicine at the University of Oxford in 1988. Having completed his general medical education, oncology education and a PhD in Manchester, he became a Senior Lecturer and then Professor in Medical Oncology (University of Manchester), where he practices in gynaecological medical oncology at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust. His research has focused on the development and optimisation of anti-angiogenic (anti-blood vessel) drugs for the treatment of ovarian cancer. His clinical practice includes clinical trial research and the treatment of unwell patients.
